As a high school senior, I felt the call to full-time ministry. Responding to this call I attended Cedarville University and pursued a degree in Christian education and youth ministries. After graduating from Cedarville, I attended Grand Rapids Seminary. In 1998 I married my high school sweetheart Amy. That same year I began full-time ministry as a youth pastor in Monroeville, PA. In 2006 we returned to the area we both grew up accepting a call to be the student and family pastor at Willo-Hill. In 2012, after 14 years in youth ministry, I was asked to consider transitioning my role at Willo-Hill to Lead Pastor. I accepted this calling and have been serving there ever since. Over this time Amy has served alongside of me fulfilling 3 full-time roles: pastor’s wife, mother, and nurse practitioner.

I have been the Associate Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries since September 2013. I studied at Summit University in Clarks Summit, PA (B.S. in Bible), and Faith Bible Seminary (MDiv). Emily and I got married in 2015. She graduated from the University of Akron with a nursing degree and is an RN. We both grew up in northeast Ohio and are excited to be serving the Lord here at Willo Hill together.

I studied at Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania (now Clarks Summit University). I graduated in 1985 with a Bachelors in Youth Ministry. That same year, I married the love of my life, Sharon, and we have three wonderful children and six wonderful grandchildren through their marriages. Sharon and I taught at Frederick Christian Academy and were volunteer youth leaders in Fredrick, Maryland, for 8 years until God called us to Northeast Ohio, where I served as assistant pastor for 10 years and then as lead pastor for 18 years. I am so blessed that God called Sharon and me to serve here at Willo Hill Baptist Church in July of 2022! Sharon has been a Christian School teacher since 1985, and has faithfully served in church ministry. She currently teaches at Mentor Christian School as a third grade teacher.
